[V8] ... reality check

... hey, when you've got people taking $1200 for 5-speed V8Qs what else is an owner to do?  

I don't think I'd *give* mine to a wrecker, but the tax benefits from a donation are greater than $1200.  People say they want a 5-speed V8Q, but they have to understand that finances are finances ... not very many people would be interested in losing money over their appreciation of a car.  
Perhaps some day the supply will become less than the demand and the price will become reasonable, or perhaps it won't.  As of today I own two 1991 V8 Quattro 5-speeds; people who say they would love to have a 5-speed V8Q are welcome to talk to me about buying my pearl car ... but don't waste both of our time if you think I'll entertain any sort of offer at $1200 ... 
Does anyone have any info about interest in the model in Germany?  Two vehicles I have owned have made their way to Europe over the years ... Perhaps the fact that the V8 is galvanized minimizes the value of a California car ...
