[V8] IC lit up like a Christmas tree...and it's January!

I've got 4 warning lights on and the battery icon in the OK window. Brake light, battery light and anti-lock light are on under the trip computer, and the CAT light is on above the PRNDL display. Left it warming up in the garage last tow days and in the process of messing with it tonight, the battery went down hill, FAST. Not enough charge for a start now.

Being a V8 the alternator runs off of the serpentine belt, right?

Ideas?
