It's probably just low battery voltage....I've seen the dash go wierd
(not quite as fully as yours) when the battery was showing 11V. When
you get the car started, verify that it's charging. If so, have
someone load test battery. I've got 3 battery's. 7yo Diehard tests
out @ 850CCA. 9yo Interstate that's currently in a friend's
(unemployed single mother) 240D starts the car daily. The 4yo Napa
that was in the 5-speed has a bad cell, and wouldn't hold a charge
anymore. I went to the battery recycle guy and got a 3yo no name
with fresh juice for $20, and it tests out @ 950CCA....Ha.
If it's not charging, and the belt is tight, I'd throw a new Voltage
Reg/brush kit in the alternator for $30. Not sure if it was on the
V8 or the Saab, but I did it inplace without having to remove the
Alternator. Or, you warmed it up, and you've got a rat chewing on
the back of the IC....Good luck...Tom
