[V8] headlights

Scott and Kneale: I think you misunderstood me. Since there have been
a couple of posts by V8'ers who were going to sell their cars intact, OR
ELSE send them to the junk yard, I made a fair inquiry. If someone is
going to send their car off to the junk yard, unless is Chris Semple,
the junker isn't going to care if the car has Euro headlights, US
headlights or NO headlights. The car is only worth to most junkers its
weight in pieces going to the crusher.

Kneale, the reason I find $650 or so too expensive for a used set of
Euros is that I can buy NEW Euros from a supplier in Canada for little
more than that, plus shipping.

I hope that anyone who is holding on to a set of Euro with the intent of
using them and resurrecting their dormant V8 continues to do so and
actually does resurrect their car.

For my part, if anyone had a V8 with a relatively good set of European
headlights that were otherwise just sitting in the car awaiting
crushing, I probably could make it interesting enough to the car's owner
to pull them out and send them to me prior to crushing.

The last set of Euro headlights I bought were for the car that became
The Gentleman's Express. Those headlights came from Germany and cost
roughly $500 once they arrived. It seems they were $450 plus shipping,
but that was a long time ago. And they were nearly new as advertised.
