[V8] what do I like about V8s?

Last night I took my 93V8 4.2 out of the garage to park it
outside while I worked on my Allroad. I had a quick glance at the V8 and went
OMG that is one beautiful vehicle ! The stance has been lowered a tiny bit with
HR/Blistiens that gives it a perfect ride height (not driven in the winter) The
tires and gloss black rims with a two inch chrome lip looks just right. The chrome
lip matches the chrome strip on the black door strips. Being a white car the
balance of white, black and chrome is just perfect, plus the PO had darkened
the windows which I’m kind of stuck with, but still works. Looking at the front
of the car, it has a mean look with the lowered stance, chin spoiler, flat black Audi emblem and Euro
lights and signals. I have the yellow fog/driving lights that gives it a bit of
sophistication to the overall look. Mechanically the car runs great with some
small electrical idiot light issues that I need to work through. I personally
don’t care if the V8 is worth 1k or 10k, its exactly what I want in a vehicle. The
square-ness and at the same time the smooth elegant lines is what I like … It
might be a 1980’s thing J

 A couple of weeks ago
I went to the local classic car show. When I was ready to drive in the guy
said, “this is only for Show Cars” , so I said to him, what do you mean …. He said,”
the car needs to be from the 80s or a rare car”.

 I told the guy I’m
going in as only 100? of these cars were imported into Canada. At the end of the
day I really don’t care if people don’t like my car, don’t want to buy it, say
it too much to fix, all I know is I love my V8.

Thanks to all the wonderful personalities on this forum from
Tom, Roger, ProffGT and the Scotts. Part of owning a car like this is the
people who share their enthusiasm of owning a V8, like Allen at Carlisle :-) .
