Hey, just for the record, I was totally joking.....I'll never sell the 5-speed, well, if someone offered me 17K sure....hell, I'd take 8K tomorrow, but realistically I have no intention of ever selling it. I've said this before, but when I sold the barely wrecked 67 GTO in high school for $400, who'd of ever thought that that bent bumper would be worth $1000's today. 20 yrs from now, the 5-speed might be worth $100K, who knows? I SOOOOOO wish I still had that GTO and didn't sell it for scrap, and have that in the back of my mind constantly. I surely never thought that an old 67 stock GTO could be worth money. I(we) love the V8's like nobody else has a clue. I still have yet to get in anyone else's car and not feel like it's a downgrade(including newer more expensive german cars). My friend who has a 99 A8 that he got with almost no miles still wants to drive his sons V8 with 280K(my old black car), because he said it just feels better.....who'd of thought. That's why Roger can't let go of what most likely is the nicest, most solid luxury rocket ship that's worth less than a Honda Accord. $3000 won't change my life, and since I truely believe my car is worth more than that, so it lives. Realistically I'd rather have a wagon/car that has fold down back seat, but since I don't, just use the truck. On a long roadtrip, nothing beats the V8. Hell, a 72 Pinto in mint condition will easily outbid my 5-speed......Just a matter of time till the world catches up with us..... Tom
