[V8] Instrument cluster flakiness

Hey Ed, since I'm the opposite of a wiring guru, I'm only guessing here, but the fact that you removed the sender wires and it was still pegged, makes me think the hot wire to sender is grounded somewhere.  If it was a bad ground, I'd guess it would show zero.  If your wires are as baked/oily/whatnot as both of mine are, my guess is it's somewhere near motor.  Rest of flaky IC is most likely lame flaky IC that both my cars are sporting.  Lago's was replaced under extended warranty in 98 and started to get flaky sometime around 06.  5-speed (now that I'm driving it again) squaks constantly and really need to deal with it.  I've got 3 spares(as do you most likely), and all are flaky.  Lamest piece of electrical equiptment ever made
