[V8] Blower fan "fix"

Hey, well since we've been stuck in this cold snap the non-functioning blower fan in Lago got me roused today to at least see if pushing on the brush/whacking with hammer would do anything.  I've been driving it around lately and today the windows were iced up on the inside.  I've limped that fan along for years by jamming a small plastic tile wedge in the upper brush to put more tension on the spring.  When I checked today, the brush holder was splayed out and the spring was sticking out the top/no sign of the trusty tile wedge.  I was able to get the spring back down with a screwdriver and crush holder back into shape with some long needlenose(one handed still from surgery)....Have a deiced car and currently fully functioning fan(for now).  Put a wad of epoxy putty on top for good measure.  Did I mention I love my car.....Ha.  Tom
