Yeah, but … If my adult sons are any indication, and I think they are, today’s customers don’t give a hoot about performance. Your average Accord is fast enough. They don’t try to take corners at twice the posted limit. They’d prefer hands-free phone and playing Pandora through the stereo. The high-end German performance sedan talks to a small customer base. Yes, Audi could improve its customer service, but until they can send me an email saying my car is due for its complimentary service, what time will my car be home so they can come to my house, swap my car for a loaner, and return mine when the service is done, they can only match your experience. Besides, in 10 years, the customer base won’t car how their self-driving car handles, and the electric motor and battery pack won’t need servicing.
“Yes, this is Audi service. Your car is due for its complimentary 100K mile battery pack replacement. When is a good time for us to swap out your car for a day?"
