Hey all, well I got a free sunny saturday and decided to try and get the 5-speed started to get it out of storage (hasn't started in a year or so when I towed it to where it's at because I needed to dig a french drain around house at the time, and it was in the way). At the time, went thru the test procedure and verified that many things were fine......was leading me to bad wire somewhere. One thing I never checked was that the nflywheel pin was intact(sensors are good, and even swapped them a year ago with known/tested good ones just because I could....no codes). Apparently, I've never removed the starter in that car, as I learned that the 5-speed has a bolt/nut in rear instead of that PITA 10mm allen that the auto's have, and if I had everything I needed on some swampy gravel, probably would have been a really quick removal. Next time around will be a piece of cake. Anyway, came out just fine, and the flywheel teeth look unworn(happy)....and the pin is intact. So, gonna tow it to a friend's dry space to figure out what's up. Good thing also as the trigger wire was kinda baked and pretty sure those bolts have either never been removed/been awhile, so a cleaner starter is going in. Got all kinds of leakage, which will be dealt with after it runs and doing the suspension/rack/leak project...just need to verify current issue before digging deeper. Aside of some rat shit evidence, car has faired well getting parked in our torrential rain year(was expecting a bit more funkieness).......Headliner didn't fix itself(bummer). Will post back when I divulge the non running issue......Hope all's well, Tom
