The latest Power Probe is called "The Hook". It has lots of great features,
but in the wrong hands is more dangerous that a DVOM, as it can supply
power and ground either momentarily or in a latched mode. Like any tool, in
the hands of an untrained user more damage than repair can be done. If one
does not fully understand electrical diagnosis using a voltmeter, going to
any type of Power Probe is not recommended, for the same reasons.

) there are some halfway decent videos on the capabilities of the tool.
Again, lots of nice features, but without a firm understanding of series &
parallel circuit laws, and a firm grip of voltage drop, using a power probe
is like diagnosing with a stick of TNT. LOL!
