Lock ease is graphite based. You *can* use 1.99/qt motor oil too.. I only speak firsthand to what professionals use. Graphite based lubes aren't used by Locksmith professionals, haven't been for a really long time. Same context to the powerprobe, I speak firsthand to what professionals use. I've seen the wrong hands on rosstechs shut down can-buses. That said, in the context of the Fluke 77 mentioned, that is a professional level m-meter. Spending the same money, I advocate using a professional automotive equivalent, it is money better spent. If you need to lean toward harmless weekend warrior M-meter recommendation, the Sunpro cp7678 would be my recommendation. That said, I will make the assumption we are all big kids here, and basic knowledge of circuity is required for a 15$ meter to be useful.
Thanks for your opinions and your google searches

Have used "Lock Ease" for years always with good results - find it here:http://agscompany.com/product/lock-ease-graphite-lubricant-aerosol-3-oz/The latest Power Probe is called "The Hook". It has lots of great features, but in the wrong hands is more dangerous that a DVOM, as it can supplypower and ground either momentarily or in a latched mode. Like any tool, inthe hands of an untrained user more damage than repair can be done. If onedoes not fully understand electrical diagnosis using a voltmeter, going toany type of Power Probe is not recommended, for the same reasons. If you go to the Power Probe web site ( http://www.powerprobe.com/videos.php) there are some halfway decent videos on the capabilities of the tool.Again, lots of nice features, but without a firm understanding of series ¶llel circuit laws, and a firm grip of voltage drop, using a power probeis like diagnosing with a stick of TNT. LOL!Enjoy!-- *Thanks,**ProfessorGT*
