Us seasoned guys can live vicariously though you?! Yay! Just use the s6 pump it has more fuel potential than the V8 will ever need. Besides, the whole fuel pump rig and fuel sender should all go together with the tank. The resistance should be the same on the sender.
Fuel filter. Sure you can mount under the hood, that's the way the type 44 cars did it too. I would say before I did that I would just convert to the 2.8 V8 double Barb fitting quick change filter in the stock location. i did this conversion on my 4kq20vt and it works much better than doing the crush washer and wrestle routine. It will flow enough fuel. The problem with under the hood is you need to make up fittings to make that all work, and the feed from the hard line to the fpr really won't be a cheap mod to fabricate.

Hi guys;
Here's my first question:
I can have a nearly-new fuel tank from a UrS6. While it will
physically fit the V8, I think the fuel pump is different. Can I fit
a V8 fuel pump into the tank (not sure if it will fit in the basket),
or can I reuse the esisting UrS6 pump that's already in the tank?
Second question:
I don't like the placement of the fuel filter underneath the car.
What do you think about re-locating the fuel filter to the engine
compartment, like in the UrS6?
Thanks,
Radek.
