Just to help visualize a rear-chain service.  The pic at the first link
below is a a friend's 3.2l V6 Audi that had a rear main seal go, pretty
much the same work to get to the chain.  2nd link is one I found and shared
with him to help him recognize that he should service the chain while it
was down/accessible, has info in the V8 rear chain stuff.
