Your last sentence really says it all... I always compare to my old V8.
My friend just got a new Q7. I definitely see one of those in me future... but it will have to have the B&O stereo!

A price point that doesn't meet more than a price point and following the twitter trend in A>B utility, nothing else. The toyota 'XLE' packages are closer to the audis than any of the scoobies. I have quite an extended family fleet these days, including 2 landcruisers (FZJ80 supercharged andU100 v8 LX470), a 2001 4runner Sport (daughter's), a few audi quattros, the t-reg v10tdi, and thor, the 8.1 gas suburban 2500, a 99 1500 chebby pickup, and my 4kq20vt. Which do I grab the keys to most often?

The treg won't ever get snows, but is v8q like on the open road... fast quiet and more capable than any duty it could be assigned. First grab when it is road trip time is the treg. The SRX is a good value for the money, but lacks the refinement in the suspension I look for as I age. It is heavy and feels it, and a bit more disconnected from the road than I like.
