If you use virgin vegetable oil, this is true. I
understand that biodiesel produced in this manner is
currently selling in Northern California for about
$3.00 a gallon. I don't know what dino diesel costs in
that area, but that seems a little high to me.

However, Hayden produces bio in his garage for about
half the cost per gallon of dino here in Texas, so
therefore it can be done economically. The trick is to
use used fryer oil from fast food restaurants, who
will PAY YOU to take it away.
