[Vwdiesel] quattro or synchro diesel

I want to build a quattro turbo diesel. Are there any VW diesels that will =
bolt right in to a quattro drive train? I was told that the 5 cyl and 4 cyl=
 bell housing patterns are different. I don't care if I end up with a Quant=
um, 4000 or even a Golf or Jetta. I am also willing to put in a TDI motor a=
s I have heard they have the same bell housing pattern as the 4 cyl gas mot=
