[Vwdiesel] alternator with no A/C

Hey, I noticed you have this big adaptor that extends the alternator
pulley. I assume this was stock on non-A/C engines.
I just ripped out all the A/C components of an '84 rabbit D and was
wondering if anyone had a spare one of these adaptors they want to get
rid of?
One idea I was going to try is to mount the alternator at the edge of
the A/C compressor mount. I held the alternator there and it seem to
be lined up with the water pump.

The '81's injection pump's pulley wheel was on crooked, so the timing belt was riding incorrectly, causing it to try eating itself. We figured that the best course of action would be to swap the pump from the '80 over to the '81.

As he tighted the wheel puller, it eventually snapped the pulley wheel in two (that bugger is on there tight!). He tried working it back and forth, and tried again, and it snapped again. Now there's just a little bit of the pulley wheel left on the pump, which doesn't allow it to be pulled out of the mount. GRRR!

The rest of the injection pump bolts have been removed, and all we have to do is get this pulley wheel removed. Has anyone bumped into this problem before?? Talk about a PITA!
