As I said previously, I have this 745TD w/ the 2.4L VW turbodiesel engine.
It has sat for 6-7 years w/ a blown engine. It was given to me, and a good,
used engine is on the stand, waiting to go in. What should be done to the
car's fuel system before the new engine is dropped in? On gas cars I've
revived, I always cleaned & flushed the fuel tank, lines, changed fuel filter
and filled w/ hi-test & dry gas for starting purposes, never had a problem.
Don't know if diesel goes bad, or what. Any input appreciated.
