[Vwdiesel] a/c bracket

greetings all:

i am trying to get my 85 golf 1.6NA back together after and extended stay in
the garage. of the last things i have left to do is get the a/c bracket
mounted back on properly.

the yoke on the bottom goes around a bracket in front of the water pump.
that bracket has TWO holes in it that look like they are meant to recieve
the a/c bracket. one about the midpoint of the bracket and one at the
bottom. neither hole has threads in it. both locations seem like they will
clear the water pump.

i can use a through bolt to secure the yoke to the bracket. thing is which
one? if anyone can point me in the right direction, i would appreciate it.
