[Vwdiesel] oil pressure problems tried everything

What year? (hydraulic head or no?) If it's a hydraulic then it probably had
a 30
mm pump. Most likely a HV pump will be the 30mm one. 36mm are available.
:) Try your gauge on a car that has known good oil pressure and working
gauge. I saw a friend pull a V-8 boat engine several times due to low oil
pressure and it was actually a faulty gauge. Having your oil pressure
confirmed by the dynamic system isn't all that conclusive. ;-) You covered
actually having oil flow, at the head or the oil filter flange? First
thought there
was upside down head gasket blocking oil to the head.
If all that checks out then you're left with actual low oil pressure. :(
First
likely culprit is the intermediate shaft bearings. They don't always get
replaced
and tend to flake apart with age. If they are replaced, sometimes they can
work
loose if they weren't a good tight fit. Hope it isn't these since that
requires pulling
the engine to replace them! The other's would be your main or rod bearings
and
at least they're easily accessible in the car.
If it was a TD engine then you could have something like a fallen out
piston
cooling jet or just marginal pressure from having leaking jets, along with
a hydraulic head and turbo.
