[Vwdiesel] Intermediate shaft bearings

are flaking apart.  Could be an acid thing but when the main and rod bearings
don't look acidified then I'd guess it just has to do with age and... thin

Someone gave me a TD block w/ everything but the head and oil pan and I ended up trashing it because it suffered a catastrophic lubrication failure.  The pistons were siezed and cracked and the rod bearings welded to the crank.  Anyway, the intermediate shaft beartings had most of the babbit metal peeeling off.

I removed the oil pan from my '85 Jetta TD once and I noticed a little babbit metal on the bottom and wondered where it came from.  Now I think I know!
