[Vwdiesel] oil pressure light on

I just got my 78 rabbit going again after being dead 7 years.  The previous
owner put tape over the oil pressure light as it stays on.  Checked pressure
and it is good.  Could there be a short someplace.  Any ideas where or could
it be something else.  Thanks, steve
