[Vwdiesel] engine

Hi all,
I was hoping for a little advice.  I have a 1980 Rabbit diesel pickup
truck and the engine needs replacing.  I am not sure if I should spend
$450.00 for an 18 year old engine from a wrecking yard.  And do not have
the time to put in a $2000 Turbo diesel and computer.
I was wondering if any one new of a place to get engine with a lot of
life that I could just bold in.
