QUESTION
Are wide spreads in synth oils done the same way? (with long chain aditives)

I'm using a 5w50 synth in cold weather, and it seams to perform better for
starts, and I never get the "buzzer" as I do occasionally from the 15w40 I
use the rest of the year.

That happens when I'm towing the trailer with a snowmobile on it at speeds
just around 2000rpm, a casual 40 mph.

The engine just seems to run better with the synth, and smoother.
