[Vwdiesel] Coolant pipes A2 NA vs TD

First I want to pass on a good thing:  I just discovered a great parts source:  megaparts.com.  I got a F/L axle assembly for $72, a GLI 16V 22mm Master Cylinder for $80, Voltage regulator (with brushes) for $13, Voltage stabilizer for $4, most of it VW/Audi OEM.  I got a turn signal relay for $7 where both Impex and VW Dealer wanted $30; and it's VW/Audi OEM.  They had nuisance parts like hood rod clips and door handle gaskets.  I placed my order yesterday at 1PM and it was here today at 10AM. (The're only about 200 miles from me; but still).

Anyway, I have an '86 Golf Diesel into which I swapped an '84 Jetta's TD  (engine CY).  I don't have an A2 Jetta TD to use as a guide.  My NA Golf had a coolant pipe which connected with a hose at one end to the heater core, and at the other end to the water pump; with a fitting in the middle of the pipe where the bottom of the expansion tank connects via a hose.  When I put in the CY motor I noticed the pipe had a smaller diameter than the original pipe on my 86 NA motor.  It's always run a little hot since I did the swap.  It isn't clear to me in Etka if this pipe is used on the A2 TDs.  I want my cooling system to be configured as in an A2 Jetta TD.  Is there such a cooling pipe?  Or, did they use a hose?  Anyone have an early A2 Jetta TD (85-87) who might be able to list the part numbers of the cooling system hoses from the pump to the oil cooler to the pipe to the head and heater core?  Thanks for your help.
