If there is no continuity between the glow plug temp. sender and the relay,=
the relay keeps the plugs "ON". May be a shorted open temp sender (make s=
ure you test the plug one and not the one for the temp guage), broken wire,=
or simply the connector got pulled off. Also, the contacts in the relay c=
an fuse together and not open. Pry, or cut, off the relay cover and take a=
look. It helps to sand the contacts w/ emery paper.

My glow plug indicator is coming on when it should not. Coincidently my
glow plugs seem to be burning open. If I remove the glow plug relay the LED
goes out. This is annoying. I stuck in a different (old) relay and
experienced the same phenomenon.
Has anyone else had this problem? Did you determine the root cause? How
did you fix it?
