Is this the '92 ECOdiesel? How much did you pay? How
many miles?

The turbocharger in the ECO isn't going to leave the
competition in the dust, but it's not bad. I've pulled
the manual transmission and replaced it with a
three-speed automatic from an A2 gas donor. It shifts
really smoothly, and is a dream to drive. The turbo
comes in handy on the freeways.

I've had the same problem on mine. Wonder if it's an
issue with the run of that model.

There should be oil lines from the engine to the
turbo. Check these and make sure the fittings are
secure. If not, pull and replace. The turbo should
last for the life of the car otherwise.

I do see them every now and again on Ebay. You might
try the used book stores on the Internet. Most carry
an extensive selection of car manuals.
