[Vwdiesel] Nissan/Datsun Diesel pu's

    A Datsun/Nissan king cab pick up has shown up on the local market at
what may be a reasonable price.  I haven't seen it or even called on it yet,
figuring that I'd better ask the group for opinions.
     Present owner claims 50-55mpg, but the brand seems prone to corrosion
in these parts.
    Has anyone had any experience with these beasts as to longevity,
reliability, parts availability, known failures?  Who made the engines- are
they IDI, n/a, etc.?
