[Vwdiesel] dim oil/coolant lights

hey,

I have been hunting an issue with my wife's Passat TDI.  Both her
coolant and oil pressure idiot lights are very dim and will flicker a
little.  Never really coming on all the way.

Any ideas?  Car has 145k.  Both fluid levels are fine.  Haven't had a
chance to check the pressure manually (Idiot???).

Hoping this is a short somewhere.
