Its an 86 I believe.  Mileage is somewhere in the neighbourhood of a dozen trips around the planet.
I am posting for a friend.  I have pics if anyone wants it.  Here is the e-mail he sent me:

"Do you know anyone who would want to by my vw?
I think the compression might be poor.
It starts fine with the glow plugs but, sometimes when it's warm and the glow plugs don't come on it doesn't want to start.
It's got a complete set of new brakes (calipers, rotors, pads & cylinders), nearly new snow tires and decent summer tires on rims, newer shocks and most of the exhaust system has been replaced.
The body is fair, bottoms of the doors are rotted and there are some holes in the floor.
Sounds attractive eh?"
