[Vwdiesel] TD swap black smoke from using NA exhaust?

Could be, but check freedom of air intake, What did you use for a filter?,
what size of intake pipe? This thing realy sucks :-) compared to a NA.

Having maxed the air intake, decreasing the fueling during boost as a
temporary measure would cut the smoke down. Try disconnecting the boost hose
to the pump aneroid and plugging it as an experiment. If it still smokes,
its restricted air intake, or a tired turbo.

Disconnect the air intake tube from the turbo and tie/ tape a bug screen
over the intake and drive it naked a bit so you can hear when the turbo
spools, might give you some clues.
