[Vwdiesel] Pickups toneau interest question

  Dad HATES a canopy when it isn't needed, due to the poor visibility, but
likes
 the idea of a dry bed in a small pickup.  He has all the snaps, front slot
and
a nearly vinyl cover but doesn't like the idea of having to snap it off and
on in
order to get in.  He really likes the idea of a fiberglass tilt up cover.
  He has the ability to build the form, with help from a friend who worked at
Fiberfab and my own experience, I think we could build one.  Thing is, the
mold is good for much more than one and it'd be a shame to not meet a
need if it's there.  ;-)
  What I'm wondering is, if there's any interest from fellow list members in
such a beast if we feel like making more than one?  My wild guess is that
it would have to sell for about $1000, give or take to be worth doing and to
cover costs of materials.
  Just checking for possible interests.  Like I need more to do!
