If it has not been too long since the grease left, you might be able to get
away with a new boot and grease.  Definitely the way to go first.  If the CV
fail later, well at least you didn't spend that much on it.  How the job
goes, I have no idea.  My CV was already gone so I had a mechanic do it for
me ...
