I'm confused. I've seen suction pumps used for rear
differiential= oil removal, but where do you feed the
suction tube into the engine to get it down to the
bottom of the oil pan?

The worst part of the oil change for me WAS the excess
oil left in the oil cooler and cooler flange that the
inverted filter screws onto. About a cup of dirty oil
would flow out and make an utter mess of my clean
motor, including getting under a wiring harness, after
I loosened the filter. I fixed that, though. Now,
after I drain the oil, I take a 1/4 inch drill and
drill a hole in the bottom rear of the filter and
drain the filter and everything above it that holds
oil. Nice neat job after that! No more engine "Gunks"
after oil changes now.
