[Vwdiesel] "controlling" the turbo boost?

Maybe I could elongate the trubo-boost line that goes into the top of the a=
neroid and bring it inside the car.  Then when car is under load, and boost=
 is at like 8-PSI or so, I could manually "pinch" the line ,(like bending a=
 garden hose) with my fingers, effectively cutting off the boost from the t=
urbo going to this aneroid thing on the top of the injector pump.
THAT should tell me if the aneroid is working, shouldn't it?

If the turbo really does THAT much (I have no idea myself WHAT kind of diff=
erence I should be experiencing) I should "see" a decrease in power/torqe/r=
evs or SOME type of effect shouldn't I ?

At least I know the turbo is actually producing pressure.................*s=
