[Vwdiesel] Diesel Hagar the third person ??? .

I've seen that site.

There are a LOT of diesel engines with roller cams.  The engine oil
is required to hold the soot byproducts of combustion.  One of the
hardest substances known to man is Carbon.  It's abrasive qualities
in engine oil against metal interfaces are not insignificant.  I think
you'll find that the later 350 Olds engines went to roller.
