[Vwdiesel] Replace the Cam Seal?

Last night I noticed the end of the cam in the '85
Jetta TD I recently bought was broken where the lock
plate fits. It appears it broke twice, since both
sides of the channel are missing. Runs o.k., though.
But I just so happen to have a spare cam from the old
'85 TD motor that was in my daily driver. That motor
got replaced w/ a rebuilt one. I'd like to change it
out tonight, but if I replace the seal, that would
entail me going out of my way to find a new seal. I
guess if the old one leaks after its all together,
I'll be screwed, though.
