Mikey I read your threads   ---- you are doing it wrong.
First clean of top of pump   ----CLEAN.     Then unscrew the solenoid --remove little plunger and spring. WATCH out for that spring. --Screw body back in.

FILL the pump to the brim --by removing banjofitting on top marked Out. Do not use Veggie stuff.Use # 1.diesel.

If it sat for 2 years with veggie in it ---let us know.   NO do not try to crank to fill pump.Do not crank to see fluid at lines--just yet.   Try to start it first.
