You may want to try dual batteries, but shouldn't need them. Use good 0-40
synthetic in winter, optima or Orbital batteries ONLY with upgraded battery
cables to ground and power line to starter, change your alt belt yearly and
pulley when it shows wear, and with good glow plugs, you should not have any
trouble. my 89 with 538000km still starts to -25C not plugged in. It ain't
pretty, but it starts. At -20, it starts no trouble. Any specific
questions, ask away, or pm me. I live in Saskatchewan. It gets cold
ere. -10 is weather for shirt sleeves and a light fuzzy vest.
