[Vwdiesel] Jetta Engine in "The Thing" ?

  Things (type 181) used aircooled engines. I would think a good place to
start would be with someone who has converted an aircooled bus, while they
are not exactly the same I would think that much of the work would be
similar.
 I once saw pictures of a VW-powered trike that used a 1.6 diesel rather
than the customary aircooled bug motor. I think if I were going to make one
of those, that would be what I would do, too.
