Internal resure -- why does it have to be so high ???. answer: to push f=
uel to fill high pressure cylinder --intake passage is small and open for a=
very short time --say when pump is turning 2500 RPM. Further more the=
timing piston design needs lots of pressure. about 30 Psi to about 120 =
Psi. I have heard 160 Psi mentioned . I have measured pumps and veryfy th=
at internal pump pressure is quite high. That explains the notorious leakin=
g pumps , and mysterious low MILAGE.

PS: A regulator of sorts can be found opposite corner top from fuel banjo =
=2ENA pumps.
