[Vwdiesel] Rabbit gone berserk --- ( the unabridged version )

i got my first rabbit because it had spooked the p/o with a
few too many  runaways.
i think it was a 78ish..1.5na
it had the hose that goes from the v/c to airbox.
i immediately replaced it with the hose that is the 'y' type?
goes from airbox>v/c > front of block.
never took off on me.
now i make sure all my rabbits have that 'y' shaped hose.
on the last rabbit i got..p/o also had experienced some runaway
it also had a straight hose from v/c to airbox.
it was an '80  1.6na
replaced that to.
no problem.

could be the way i drive. :o/
