[Vwdiesel] AC Brackets

Nope, that is correct. You can install the lower A/C
bracket (slotted part) by mistake in the hole designed
for the aluminum bracket that bolts to the block and
the upper A/C bracket.
BTW, my daily driver '85 Jetta TD came w/ the aluminum
bracket bolted to the upper A/C bracket and block. The
one I bought last winter does not have this bracket.
Neither cars have power steering. Does this bracket
serve any purpose on Jetta Ds W/Out power steering?
Just want to know if I'm missing a part on the one I
recently got. This is the one that the A/C compressor
bolts broke off on, but I think the aluminum bracket
provides NO support for the compressor.
