Hi all!
Thanks to all who responded regarding the load reduction relay. Based
upon the information Loren referenced, I was able to locate it and performed a
temporary repair (dried it out, cleaned the contacts and created two
strategically placed drain holes in the cover so water doesn't build up inside the
relay). Seems to work fine now. I also lowered the fuse block (what a pain to
get back in place) and shook water out of it. I attempted to find the source of
the leak (looked to find where the radio antenna lead enters), but was
unsuccessful. Both my rechargeable flashlights went dead before I could find the
antenna lead.

My local parts supplier ordered a replacement windshield seal for me (seems
all seven of his supplier's warehouses were out of stock) and informed me it
will arrive after New Year. The cover over the cowl vent area is in good
condition, the cowl vent area is clean and the two rubber drains are clear. I've
looked at the body seams and am considering applying some sealant to these (not
sure if it's needed, but it can't hurt).

Question for those who are familiar with the leak that occurs at the antenna
lead (I assume it happens as a result of a deteriorated grommet): Does this
leak occur while the vehicle is being driven or when parked (i.e., is it fed by
water kicked up by the left front tire)? The reason I ask is this truck has
been sitting when the rain has leaked into it. Thank goodness for those snow /
ice retaining floor mats (I am getting tired of draining them though)!

Thanks,
Ray Folda
