I read with some interest some accounts here in the forum , about
some of you using pyrometer setups.
I have to admit that I do not understand what good it is if you
only have one. Normally on a diesel each cylinder has one so all
the cylinders can be tuned to share the load. On Gasoline engines
with mixture control , a single probe is used for adjusting the mixture.
But since we do not have a mixture control on VW's --- I am curios,
maybe I missed something. On a dyno it would be handy for adjusting
the fueling screw. Anyhow I am going to use one , since I am a relentless
experimenter. Maybe four ? who knows. Hagar.
