[Vwdiesel] pulling the shutoff solenoid

Maybe, but it'll leak fuel like a mofo out of the little hole that you
removed the solenoid from. An old aircooled trick (they had shutoff
solenoids on the carbs) was to pull the solenoid, use a dremel (or a
horse hair cutter if it is THAT old) and cut the plunger off. then screw
the solenoid back on. It destroys the solenoid - and you have to dump
the clutch to shut it off..... good luck.
