I am NO mechanic , but I got a good handle on your predicament --so here is=
 what I would do.
Hone the living daylight out of those holes.You need a BIG drill   say 3/4 =
inch, I use kerosene but find out if there is a mechanic in the wings.Then =
bigger pistons--there I select out of junk.Keep track of weight.
You can do it its a great experience---I know first hand.    Hagar.
