That reminds me when I removed the rear seal carrier to replace the main seal
years ago in the TD. I torqued the bolts that held the oil pan per the Bentley
torque value AND STRIPPED OUT THE THREADS in the aluminum seal carrier! I was
pissed. It appears the specs are correct for the oil pan bolts being screwed
into the cast iron block, but not the aluminum seal carrier. Bentley made no
mention about this, or different torque values! Anyone else ever have this
happen?
