It is in fact an "O" ring. I get mine at the dealer. It gets squished flat,
and appears like a gasket, when the seal cap/carrier is removed years later.
I replace that seal the same way--by removing it w/ its carrier. The "O" ring
in your gasket set may be the correct one.
